The seventh in Pocket Books' collection of complete Buffy scripts continues into Season Three, widely regarded by many fans as the show's best-ever season.
Throughout its first two seasons Buffy was one of the most popular series on TV - startlingly original and widely known for its daring, smart and astute scripting.
Season Three was no exception, taking the show in a darker, more adult
direction, reflecting its characters' growth, whilst still retaining its trademarked humour. Unafraid to call in to question its very premise, the show continued to break new ground in adventurous plotting, new characters and savvy dialogue.
Amongst the brilliant episodes fully scripted in this collection is the tumultuous Lovers Walk in which tensions are
brought to a head and relationships within the group are changed forever; The Wish in which Cordelia's wishful thinking
lands her in a nightmarish Buffy-less Sunnydale; Gingerbread where a demonically inspired Macarthyesque frenzy grips Sunnydale's older generation, sending Buffy's mother on a real life witch hunt; and Helpless where Buffy's 18th birthday present from the Watchers Council nearly ensures she doesn't live to see her 19th.
These faithful facsimiles of original shooting scripts include full dialogue as well as additional scenes cut from the finished shows, in-jokes and production notes for each episode.
