Episode Guide
Living Conditions

Trivia

The odd couple: Talking about the episode's reaction on the Posting Board, Joss maintained that Living Conditions was a "totally accurate portrayal of roomies - I almost hired a man to kill him when he straightened his rug one time." Best to give Mr Whedon his space, we think.

Picking Parker: Oz and Xander's discussion of Buffys flirty encounter with Parker contains several references to the two Terminator movies starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. These include allusions to famous quotes from the films, including hasta la vista, baby and the ominous promise Ill be back.

Home but not alone: For a different kind of treatment of the 'roommate from Hell' story check out Barbet Schroeders 1992 film Single White Female, starring Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Wolf in...: How many of you noticed that Oz was wearing a sheepskin coat...?

Staying old gracefully: There's a reference to season three's Band Candy when Buffy tells Giles that she's "still ick from the last time he tried to recapture his youth."

DJ disaster: Kathy's musical taste is characterised by Buffy as being like VH1, a fairly soft, poppy music video channel. Her particular favourite is Cher's 1998 vocoder-voiced hit "I Believe"

Home, bitter home: Buffy's room at University is 214 Stevenson Hall. Stevenson was, probably not co-incidentally, the name of a college at Marti Noxon's University, Santa Cruz.
