Episode Guide
Where the Wild Things Are

Review

James: "An awful lot of Buffy"

Waaaaay too much detail. This unbelievably tasteless episode manages to be both creepily voyeuristic and prudish. So far this season we've seen Buffy's rather conservative views on alcohol - now we get Bonking is Bad.

Consequently we get to see an awful lot of Buffy and Riley in bed (Typical quote: "Uh! uh! uh! mmmmrrrrrr! uhuhuhuh! hrrr. uh! uh! uh!"), but also the Terribly Bad Consequences that all that nookie causes. And then there's the wall of orgasms (Typical quote: "Ah? Ah! Ah! Ah! Touch it!"). Daft.

That said, Anya, as ever, steals the episode. Every single scene with her in it is an absolute delight ("I'm having fun. Whooo-hoo.") and it is long overdue that she and Xander get to play hero. Actually, all the scenes without Buffy and Riley are pretty good.

Kim:

I'll have what she's having.
