Arts vs. Science 2

Science is often seen as dull - particularly by teenagers choosing their A-levels. In this programme from November 1993, Douglas talks about the choice he had to make between science and the arts.

He often called for more crossover between science and the arts, and for people to stop thinking of science as something that doesn't affect their everyday lives.

Douglas' last radio project before he died was the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Future, in which he discussed the way technology is changing the way we listen to music, read books and watch TV.
