RealMedia: What is Kung Fu?

Kung Fu can be translated as 'skill from effort'.

Kung Fu is said to have been founded by monks of the Shaolin Temple as far back as 500AD.

Originally Kung Fu could be divided into five major styles: Tiger, Snake, Leopard, Crane and Dragon.

The most well known styles of Kung Fu are Hung Gar, Choy Lee Fut, Wing Chun, Tang Lai Pai, Hao Pai, Tsui Pa Hsien and Wah Kuen Pai.

The most famous modern exponent of Kung Fu is film star Bruce Lee.

Bruce Lee's son Brandon was killed during the filming of supernatural martial arts film 'The Crow', when he was accidentally shot.
