As Mrs. Druse and Hook try to contact the hospital's ghosts, a convicted murderer arrives as part of his deviously planned prison break.
Written by: Stephen King Directed by: Craig Baxley
With Hook convinced that he saw Mary, Mrs. Druse persuades him to help her find the ghost child's doll, too. And with Christa and Abel's help, they plan to use Kingdom Hospital's haunting to rattle Stegman. Meanwhile, as Peter Rickman's condition goes from better to worse and back again, imprisoned killer Rolf Pedersen poisons himself so the he can be rushed to the hospital where he plans to escape after being nursed back to health.
As the hospital staff deals with Pedersen, Hook needles Stegman by using novocaine to make it seem like Mrs. Druse had a stroke. But before he learns about the return of Mrs. Druse, Stegman must deal with Rene Klingerman after brain surgery left her daughter, Mona, a vegetable. Meanwhile, as Rickman's health improves, the Antubis reminds him of the debt he owes for being saved.
As Stegman is recovering from the most recent earthquake, Mrs. Druse enlists her son to help contact Mary. And as Abel and Christa deface his car, after Mary appears at her bedside, Stegman struggles to put the best possible face on Mona Klingerman's condition. But when Mrs. Klingerman threatens to sue, Stegman must scramble to construct a viable legal defense. Finally, as Mary tells Peter about her fear of a ghost named Paul, an unwitting hospital staff is in danger of becoming Pederson's next victims.
