New Buffy busts

New Buffy busts

Moore, the makers of the Buffy and Angel action figures, have released details of two new additions to their much-loved range of busts based on characters from the two shows.

First up we have a lovely bust of D'Hoffryn, who you may remember, was the mentor of Anya. He granted her the power to make scorned women's wishes come true.

Secondly we have a Kulak bust. Kulak, an assassin and member of the Miquot Clan, took part in Slayerfest '98. He's famous for having bone spears that shot out from his forearms.

Both pieces have been sculpted by Pablo Viggiano from the Gore Group. They come painted and ready to display, and are scheduled to be unleashed on an eager public in October 2003.

Now we know what to buy Rob for his housewarming present.

Plus, from the pen of Michael Adams, we have Slayer Slang - an unofficial Buffy the Vampire Slayer Lexicon which uses the series to show how new slang is formed, transformed, and transmitted.

The book is apparently a must for fans of the show, word geeks, and language professionals. Features include a history and defense of ephemeral language, a detailed glossary of Slayer slang, and an extensive bibliography and index.

Wake up at the back.
