Buffy News    25 June 2003
Into the Fray

Into the Fray

All the latest Buffy comics news from Dark Horse Comics.

The big news is that the final issue of Fray will at last be released on 30th July.

The much delayed comic, written by Joss Whedon, chronicles the adventures of a future Slayer who battles evil in a post-apocalyptic universe.

Joss is also planning a follow up to Fray. There's no news on what it is yet, but you can expect it to be big and clever.

Over in the monthly Buffy comic, the Year One adventures are drawing to a close. They'll be followed, towards the end of the year, by Tales of the Vampires.

One story in the works will be written by Brett Matthews, who co-wrote Angel with Joss and also worked on Firefly. His vampire tale will be drawn by Sean Phillips, and will be published in a Halloween book, Drawing on Your Nightmares.

Then in the new year there'll be an entire issue of Buffy drawn by Jeff Matsuda. Jeff has drawn covers and short stories ever since the Buffy comic began, but this is the first time he's filled a comic cover-to-cover with his cartoony, fun stlye.
