Farscape future?

Farscape future?

Rumours are gathering that the Jim Henson Company is planning to make a Farscape mini-series.

An apparently reliable source told IGN FilmForce that a four-hour special was in pre-production, and that it would be shot in Australia.

The storyline would continue where the final episode left off and possibly provide a more satisfactory conclusion to the series.

The news has not been confirmed by Hensons, who, when asked for a statement, offered the following:

"Though there are currently no plans for any immediate Farscape projects to be produced, the 'To Be Continued' ending in the final episode signifies The Jim Henson Company's commitment to the property and our belief that there are future opportunities for it to grow.

"We truly appreciate all of the continued fan support and commitment to Farscape."

IGN FilmForce is adamant that something is in the works and suggests that an appearance by Ben Browder at the San Diego Comic-Con this weekend should throw some light on the rumours.
