Campion comes out

Campion comes out

Peter Davison's eighties detective series Campion is coming out on DVD for the first time.

Based on a series of novels by Margery Allingham, Campion starred Peter Davison as posh Twenties detective Albert Campion, with Brian Glover as his ex-convict manservant Magersfontein Lugg. The series was screened on the BBC in 1989 and 90, and featured much monocle-wearing on Davison's part.

The DVD contains the first two Campion stories plus filmographies and a Margary Allingham biography and bibliography. In Look to the Lady, Campion must protect an heirloom of the Gryth family from international thieves, while in Police at the Funeral, a murderer is on the loose in a sinister house in Cambridge.

Campion is released by Acorn Media UK.
