Premise: Determined to get Homer's attention, Lisa joins him watching the ball game and predicts the winners, making Homer very rich. However, when Lisa realises her father's sudden affection for her is based solely on her predictions, she forces him to choose between her love and her precognition skills.

Features: Moe, Chief Wiggum, John Frink, Krusty the Klown, Sideshow Mel, Sherri and Terri, Kearney, Dolph, Jimbo Jones, Barney Gumble, Herman, Ralph, Miss Hoover, Rev. Lovejoy, Troy McClure.

Trivia:

  • Springfield's children's clothing store is called 'Wee Monsieur'.
  • Lisa's favourite song is The Broken Neck Blues.

Notes for Brits: The title is a reference to US baseball pundit Jimmy 'the Greek' Snyder.

Mmmmm: ...crunched-up cookie things.

Look out for: Marge, knowing her son well, is able to recognise Bart's expression even behind the pile of clothes she has made him hold.

Notes: Homer's very fortunate that the right team wins at the end of this episode. It's nice to see him and Lisa getting along so well for once.
