"Jesus Christ!" Canon Adolphus Black isn't your typical priest.

Black's exact motives are unknown. We do know that he was ultimately responsible for Strange's dismissal from the clergy, but we do not know his reasons.

Supposedly in charge of a cathedral somewhere in England, Black seems cold, calculating and insensitive to the feelings of others. He also possesses a truly devilish sense of humour.

Ian Richardson's credits are too numerous to mention, but he is probably best known for his role as Francis Urqhurt in The House of Cards and To Play the King. He was also memorable in Gormenghast, The Magician's House and Murder Rooms.
