"For me this picture works because while it has a sense of movement you can also see the girls' expressions well. It is bright and colourful and has a lot of energy. I had been expecting to have a picture that was slightly more about the decaying grandeur of British seaside resorts, but in the end the fun these girls were having was much more compelling."
