Star Wars

Star Wars

Not as instantly recognisable a Kung Fu movie as, say, Fist of Fury. But the Star Wars films nevertheless owe a great debt to the philosophy and mythology of the martial arts.

In many ways Luke Skywalker is to Ben Kenobi what the karate kid was to Mr Miyagi - although he was never asked to wax the Millennium Falcon.

In fact, Jedi masters Maul and Vader would not look far out of place in the films of Bruce Lee - though Vader's attire might raise the odd eyebrow.
