Premise: After damaging the original handwritten American Constitution in the Springsonian, Homer's fine is paid for by Omnitouch, a mobile communications firm. All he has to do in return is give over part of his house to let them install a new transmitter. Lisa's bedroom is sacrificed and she must move in with Bart, who delights in the torture he can inflict. Seeking peace and quiet, both she and Homer end up in sensory-deprivation tanks, which isn't as relaxing as it sounds, particularly for Homer.

Features: Carl, Lenny, Moe, Chief Wiggum, Mrs Wiggum, Agnes Skinner, Milhouse, Ralph, the Flanderses, Dr Hibbert, Krusty, Don Tony, Bill and Marty from KBBL.

Couch: Firemen are using the couch as a net but Homer misses and hits the floor.

Trivia:

• Bill and Marty play a 1939 jazz number by Benny Goodman followed by The Safety Dance, the 1983 hit for Men Without Hats.
• The New Age shop is called KarmaCeuticals, Homer watches When Animals Attack Magicians, and we learn that Joan Rivers is only kept alive by foetal-grinding.
• Omnitouch also tell us that the US government spends its funds on anti-smoking campaigns, pro-smoking campaigns, killing wild doggies. And Israel.

Look out for: Homer's trip in his tank and, indeed, Lisa's dream, both of which are top-notch. We also love Homer's Andy Capp joke and the fact he wins the Sir Drinks-A-Lot at P. J. O'Harrigans Irish bar. Best bit, though, has to be Marge enjoying listening to everyone else's cellphone conversations.

Notes: Another episode of two distinct halves, although the second far outweighs the first. Homer's adventures in the sensory deprivation tank are inspired in their almost Keystone Kop humour as he gets from point A to point B and so on, finally getting back to point A none the wiser. Classic stuff.
