Another Simpsons Clip Show

A loving look back at the Simpsons' romantic hightlights.

Episode 2F33
Written by Penny Wise
Directed by David Silverman

Premise: Marge is concerned that she and Homer have set the kids a bad example in the field of romance. She invites the family to recount their romantic adventures. Cue the clips reel.

Couch: The Simpsons rush in - and get trodden on by a gigantic Monty Pythonesque foot.

Trivia:

  • Marge is reading the novel The Bridges of Madison County.
  • Lisa's still reading Non-Threatening Boys magazine, and is still in love with its cover star Corey Masterson.

Notes: There are large sections of romantic interludes from Jacques to Be Wild ('Thank goodness I drove down that ironic street!' says Marge), The Last Temptation of Homer, I Love Lisa, Lady Bouvier's Lover and The Way We Was. There are also brilliant compositions of Bart's prank calls to Moe and 'Mmmm's' from Homer. As good as a clips show can be.
