The Simpsons | Episode Guide | Season Seven
138th Episode Spectacular

Yet another clip show - this time with added out-takes.

Episode 3F31
Written by Penny Wise
Directed by 'Pound Foolish'
Special guest voice: Phil Hartman (as Troy McClure)

Premise: Troy McClure presents yet another clip show devoted to America's favourite non-prehistoric cartoon family - 23 per cent original footage. But this time there's unreleased material from previous episodes in the gag bag.

Features: Troy McClure.

Couch: The Simpsons rush in - lots of times and in lots of different ways.

Trivia: We get to see excised sections from the episodes Krusty Gets Kancelled', $pringfield, Mother Simpson, Treehouse of Horror IV, Homer and Apu and Burns' Heir, plus an alternative solution to Who Shot Mr Burns?

Homage: The unseen material from Homer and Apu takes a swipe at the hundreds of movies produced by the Bombay film industry, while James Bond turns up in $pringfield.

Hi, I'm Troy McClure, you may remember me from: Such Fox Network specials as Alien Nose-Job and Five Fabulous Weeks of "The Chevy Chase Show".

Notes: The out-takes are up to standard, and there are a number of great self-referential moments. It was nice of them to own up that Bleedin' Gums Murphy was never popular.
