The Simpsons | Episode Guide | Season Eight
Treehouse of Horror VII

Twins, teenies and transformations.

Episode 4F02
Written by Ken Keeler, Dan Greaney, David S. Cohen
Directed by Mike B. Anderson
Special guest voice: Phil Hartman (as Bill Clinton)

Premise: The Thing & I: in which Bart discovers his evil twin, Hugo Simpson; The Genesis Tub in which Lisa creates a city of tiny people; and Citizen Kang, in which the two Rigellians run for the presidency - by assuming the forms of Clinton and Dole.

Couch: The Simpsons rush in - to find the Grim Reaper waiting.

Homage: Independence Day - the alien takeover on Inauguration Day, Basket Case - the evil twin. Lisa's city looks like one you might create using the computer game Sim City. Homer sings Fish Heads, a novelty semi-hit for Barnes & Barnes in 1981.

Look out for: The contents of the Simpsons' attic - ephemera from many, many previous episodes.

Notes: A cracking start to the eighth season. The Simpsons, it seems, just gets better and better.
