Explore with Darwin at Porto Praia primary school in Cape Verde

Pupils from Porto Praia primary school in Cape Verde have been marking the 150th anniversary of Darwin's Origin of Species.

Charles Darwin landed on Cape Verde within the first few weeks of his famous voyage on the Beagle.  It was the first tropical country he visited.  

For their 'Explore with Darwin' project children have been learning about famous ship which brought Darwin to their islands and have made drawings and models.
