Old-fashioned cop Nathan Spring is convinced that the death of a man by drowning is far from an accident. But his 'promotion' to head of Commander of the International Space Police Force means he soon has bigger problems to deal with.

Conversations with the Dead
Computer failure causes the freighter Daedalus spins off course while on a routine run from Mars to the Moon. David Theroux's discovery of some cryogenic equipment could provide the key.

Intelligent Listening for Beginners
An explosion at a processing plant and a train collision on Earth are linked by the appearance of the William Blake line 'O Rose, thou art sick' on computer equipment moments earlier. Could millionaire computer expert Michael Chandri be involved?

Trivial Games and Paranoid Pursuits
Dilly Goodman contacts the Star Cops after attempts to get in touch with her brother Harvey, working as a research scientist on the Ronald Reagan, draw a blank. New commander of the Moonbase, Alexander Krivenko, arrives.

This Case to be Opened in a Million Years
A Stantanini-Italia owned nuclear waste dumping rocket crashes into the Moonbase One launch pad and David Calder soon finds himself framed for drug trafficking.

Episode Six
In Warm Blood
The crew of a Pluto 5 are found dead when the vessel returns to the Moon. While back on Moonbase, Krivenko learns of his colleague Doctor Christina Jannsen's suicide. Could the two cases be linked?

Other People's Secrets
Ernest Wolffhart arrives to carry out a routine investigation into safety at the Moonbase. Meanwhile Devis' former wife, Psychologist Doctor Angela Parr, turns up to carry out her own investigations.

Episode Nine
Little Green Men and Other Martians
An alien discovery is made on the planet Mars and dispatched to Moonbase for tests, promoting a flurry of activity. Meanwhile, events conspire against Spring's attempts to set up a police presence on the Martian colonies.
