I Love the Royals
Royal Bric-a-Brac

Holyrood House

Palaces

The Royal family are amongst the biggest landowners in the UK, and have a variety of amazing homes at their disposal. When you think about it, it must be tough to always have the dilemma of which mansion, palace or castle to snooze in over night.

Whilst they obviously can't compete with key public figures like David and Victoria Beckham, the Royals still afford to keep one or two discreet properties here and there, including their own version of the England midfielder's mansion, Beckingham Palace.

The famous Buckingham and Kensington Palaces are both in London, but the Royals also have homes throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

Most are open to the public when not in use. You can tell if they are occupied by looking for a Royal Flag flying above them (or for a Paparazzi photographer lurking in the bushes).

Find out more about the modern Royal Palaces and historical palaces.
