Prince Charles and Lady Diana

The Wedding of Charles and Diana

Who says we don't 'go to town' when it comes to royal weddings? If you were not interested in the wedding of Charles and Di the only escape was to leave the country or hibernate.

Everything possible was done to ensure no one forgot the occasion, from painted bows on London buses to fireworks in Hyde Park.

It was a day of dreams for little girls across England - as the beautiful Lady Diana walked up the aisle to marry the dashing Prince Charles.

Few other events before and barely any since have matched the pomp, ceremony, and dazzling pageantry of the Royal Wedding. Just pity the poor street sweeper who had to clear up all the confetti.

Over The Top? No...... Of course not.

Events: Silver Jubilee | Royal Wedding | Queen Mother's 100th | Devon Loch at the Grand National
