Wedding Outfits

Never afraid to make a fashion statement, the Royals really 'go to town' when it comes to weddings.

During what was commonly referred to as 'The Wedding of the Century', Lady Diana Spencer must have believed 'more is more' when she wore a dress of ivory silk, taffeta, and lace with ten thousand mother-of-pearl sequins sewn into it. Just imagine how long that would have taken! The dress was topped off with a 25-foot train and a cathedral-length veil.

Prince Charles must have felt terribly underdresssed in his full dress uniform of a Royal Navy Commander.

Royal bride Sophie Rhys-Jones couldn't quite compete when she wore a simple ivory silk and organza dress-coat with a long train at her wedding to Prince Edward.
