Mousetrap

Mousetrap

How can you go wrong when you've got a catchphrase like 'It's fun to build this comical wonder, but woe to the mouse who gets caught under'.

Mice everywhere were running scared.

The game works like this.

1. You throw the dice, get pieces of your trap and try to build it before your opponent.
2. You set off a highly exciting and addictive chain of events that includes a diver plummeting into a bucket of water, and a large marble rolling down a tube.
3. In the 'dramatic' finale the trap falls on the mouse.

As with anything remotely popular some high flying TV developer thought Mousetrap would be a perfect kids TV show.

So with a bit of poetic licence ITV launched the Mousetrap as part of their kids TV show Motormouth in 1989. The fact it only lasted a year may speak for itself.
