Eccentric millionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) previews
his new amusement park on an island off the Costa Rica to two dinosaur
experts - Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura
Dern).
By cloning dinosaur DNA harvested from pre-historic insects, Hammond
has been able to create living dinosaurs for his new Jurassic theme
park.
They are sent on a computer-controlled tour but a tropical storm
and employee sabotage knocks out the power supply allowing the animals
to hunt the visitors.
