Enterprise will run to a third series says UPN head.

UPN entertainment president Dawn Ostroff has confirmed that Enterprise will be picked up for a third series, despite falling ratings.

Speaking to reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour, Ostroff offered the slightly vague statement: "Enterprise, as far as we know, will be back."

Meanwhile, Robert Duncan McNeil, who played Tom Paris in Star Trek: Voyager, will return to direct his second episode of Enterprise.

McNeil previously directed the well-received season one episode Cold Front. The actor will then return to the present day to direct an episode of Dawson's Creek, which almost qualifies as cult due to the age-defying nature of it's cast.
