Triffid TV

UK Gold are screening the BBC's 1981 adaptation of John Wydham's chilling tale of when plants go bad, back to back.

The Day of the Triffids begins after a strange meteorite storm blinds the whole of humanity, who are then beset by vicious, ambulatory, poisonous plants.

Starring John Duttine and Emma Relph, this adaptation of Wyndham's cult novel was the brainchild of Blake's 7 producer David Moloney.

For those of you who have never seen it or who want to relive the terror again, UK Gold will be screening a three part version on Saturday 21st February, starting at the evil hour of 6a.m.
