GENERATIONS
No. 7 - Generations. 1994
An uneasy transition from TV to the big screen for the Next Generation
crew, particularly as the opening fifteen minutes - starring Kirk,
Scotty and Chekhov - are probably the best of the entire film. The
scenes between Kirk and Picard are far too brief (why cook eggs and ride
horses when Kirk could be meeting Data or Worf on the bridge of the new
Enterprise?) Ultimately the film has the feel of a light TV movie rather
than the epic union of the two casts that was promised.
