Insurrection

Picard No. 9 - Insurrection. 1998

Patrick Stewart and Brent Spiner carry a rather insipid story that would have worked as a TV episode but lacks the scope and drama to make it a compelling film. As for the insurrection itself - an intriguing concept given Picard and the Enterprise's hallowed Starfleet status - blink and you'll miss it. Roll on the promisingly even-numbered Star Trek X; how about luring Leonard Nimoy out of retirement?

by Chris Small
