Capt. Owen Crawford (Joel Gretsch) will stop at nothing - even kidnap and murder - to advance his career and solve the mystery behind alien existence. His determination is passed along to his sons Eric (Andy Powers) and Sam (Ryan Merriman). While Eric follows in his father�s footsteps, Sam follows a different path to the truth - with fatal results.

Eric�s daughter Mary (Heather Donahue) proves to possess both her father�s and grandfather�s unrelentingly ambition. After linking with the government, she begins an affair with the scheming Dr. Chet Wakeman (Matt Frewer), her father�s former head of research.

Together they manipulate their positions in an attempt to gain answers and power, regardless of the cost to everyone involved. Her devious objectives meet an unexpected conclusion when all three families - and the aliens - are forced into a final confrontation with global consequences.
