Over a fifty-year period, the Keys family becomes the unwilling victims of numerous alien abductions and mysterious experimentation.
We open with Capt. Russell Keys (Steve Burton), a decorated WWII pilot whose life changes after his plane is enveloped in a strange, bright light. Plagued with dreams and blinding headaches, Russell quickly becomes a frequent abductee whose visits with the aliens cease only after the extraterrestrials become interested in his son Jesse (Desmond Harrington).
Like his father, Jesse is also a decorated war veteran, whose experiences in both Vietnam and the alien ship leave him a haunted man. Running from government, Jesse unwittingly passes his legacy to his son Charlie (Adam Kaufman), who tries valiantly to fight off the aliens and the havoc they wreak on innocent lives.
'If we are alone then that's extraordinarily remarkable in such a vast universe. Personally, I don't think we're that special.' Prof Seth Shostak, SETI Institute. Find out more about alien life at BBCi Science.
