1st March 1996 - 20th February 1998
Born: 14th January 1972
Presented with Tim Vincent, Katy Hill, Richard Bacon and Konnie Huq.
Romana first came to the attention of the Blue Peter production office when she met the editor at the time Lewis Bronze at the Edinburgh Television Festival. She was one of a group of students making a film about the TV bosses attending. Lewis suggested that she should come along and get some work experience on Blue Peter, but instead Romana decided to stick to her studies.
Four years later she contacted Lewis asking if she could still come along. Lewis received the letter just as he was looking for a replacement for Diane-Louise Jordan, and much to Romana's surprise invited her down for an audition.
Romana became the show's second Scottish presenter on 1st March 1996 and she soon became known for her love of dressing up but keen to pursue an acting career, Romana was given time off to star as Aladdin in Aberdeen over Christmas 1997. Shortly afterwards on 20th February 1998 she made her final Blue Peter appearance. During the show her favourite pop group, Mike Flowers' Pops, performed a special song for her.
Since her departure Romana has concentrated on a career on the stage but later in 1998 she returned to TV play the role of 'female clubber' in an episode of the Channel 4 drama Young Person's Guide to Becoming a Rock Star.
