27th June 1994 - 21st June 1999

Born: 20th February 1970

Presented with Tim Vincent, Katy Hill, Romana D'Annunzio, Konnie Huq and Simon Thomas

After graduating from the University of Bournemouth, where he studied Communication and Media Production. Stuart worked as a researcher and reporter for Radio 4.

From 1992 Stuart worked as a presenter for nightly news programme on cable television, but his big break came in 1994 when he was snapped up to present Saturday Disney. The show put him firmly in the spotlight and brought him to the attention of the Blue Peter production team.

Stuart's good looks and natural ability in front of the camera made him an instant hit with viewers. One memorable episode saw him play Joseph in 1998's Blue Peter Pantomime Back in Time for Christmas, a musical extravaganza featuring past presenters and a time machine.

Stuart left the programme on 21st June 1999 and has since guest presented on such shows as Holiday, Soap Fever, This Morning and Dial-A-Date.

He also stepped behind the camera, directing the programme Phonezone in 2000.

Stuart has also appeared in panto, appearing in productions of Jack and the Beanstalk and Aladdin.
