23rd June 1995 - 19th June 2000

Born: 15th April 1971

Presented with Diane-Louise Jordan, Tim Vincent, Stuart Miles, Romana D'Annunzio, Richard Bacon, Konnie Huq, Simon Thomas and Matt Baker.

Born in Poole, Dorset, Katy's ambitions as a child were to present Blue Peter and to ride at the Horse of the Year Show.

Katy got into the media by doing voluntary work with hospital television in Essex. Soon she was presenting her own show, Katy's Kapers, on BBC Radio Essex before moving to the children's cable channel Nickolodeon.

It was while working for channel controllers and the Head of Children's Television, as a BBC secretary that she bombarded the Editor of Blue Peter with ideas and showreels until after an audition she joined the team in June 1995.

Katy was an instant hit with the viewers, with her laid back attitude and girl-next-door charm. During her time with the show she fulfilled her other ambition to ride at the Horse of the Year Show.

Katy left Blue Peter to become one of the four presenters hired to replace Zoe Ball and Jamie Theakston on Live and Kicking. Unfortunately, the might of Ant and Dec on ITV proved invincible and Katy quit The Saturday Show less than a year later.

Katy has also presented Top of the Pops, Football Fever, The Millennium Quiz Show with Michael Parkinson, Tomorrow's World, A Song For Europe and the weekend breakfast show on 95.8 Capital FM.

She also writes a regular column for Cosmopolitan Hair & Beauty Magazine and is a supporter of the Make a Wish charity.
