The Good Life (1976)

The clip should play automatically after a few seconds. If not, click here.

The Good Life was such a hit that it actually went to the United States and was called "Good Neighbors". The story was an ordinary and simple tale of a young couple (Richard Briers and Felicity Kendal) who rejected the rat race and took to bringing up pigs in the back garden of their suburban house. Their neighbours (Paul Edington and Penelope Keith) were of course not too impressed with this behaviour. Tsk tsk.

The house where Tom and Barbara Good supposedly lived went up for sale in March 2001 for £570,000. Cheap at half the price!
