Rory Kinnear

24 year old Rory graduated from LAMDA in the summer 2001 and since that time has been concentrating on building up his theatre credits.

As the son of the late Roy Kinnear he says acting was not necessarily in his blood. "I was only 10 when my dad died, so it wasn't a case of following him into acting because I was too young to know what I wanted."

Rory joined the Royal Shakespeare company in Stratford Upon Avon for the 2003 season. After a recent successful run as Caliban in The Tempest, he can currently be seen in The Taming of the Shrew at the Swan Theatre, Stratford upon Avon.

His television appearances have included Judge John Deed, Menace, Ultimate Force, Russell T. Davies' Second Coming and the TV movie Judas.

Rory Kinnear is currently appearing in the play Festen at the Lyric theatre in London's West End.
