Week One

In the beginning...

Hello and welcome to the Ghosts of Albion - an exciting new animated drama on BBCi.

As you may already know from reading my intro, I am Tamara Swift, 26-year old Londoner and hostess of this fab site.

All the basic background is in my intro, but a quick recap (I just never seem to tire of telling my story!) This site is based around my family history a legacy like no other. As you watch the animation over the next few weeks, you'll see what I mean. My great, great, great, great grandfather and his sister (also called Tamara I was named after her) had a rather cool side-hobby of ridding this country of things that did not necessarily belong here, and I'm not talking Rentakill employees. To know more, you'll just have to wait and see ("Oh no," I hear you cry...) Believe me, it'll be worth it.

This site which I'm looking after will be a forum for any and all to talk about my family, the legacy, the ghosts or anything else that comes to mind. There's the message board for all those thoughts to get to me, and a map which belonged to my great-grandfather (to the power of six), with some interesting stuff on do check it out.

I'll be in every day around noon, and will check in on the message boards, which will hopefully be thriving with loads of chat, debate and ghoulish tales (no wonder I have trouble sleeping!). I'll also be writing a blog each day with the meanderings of my mind, thoughts on the story so far, any thing that catches my attention on the message boards, what I had for dinner and of course... what all of it means!

So for now my new cyber friends, enjoy Episode one, let me know what you thought did it scare you, did you like it, isn't William a bit of alright (I know he's a relative but hey... it's a long time ago!) and here's to the Ghosts of Albion!

The morning after

So, launch day seemed to go okay - no panicky phone calls late at night about the outraged masses who couldn't access the drama - and this morning sees Rob and the team still smiling. Hooray!

And what a great response already! I can't believe how much you people collectively know. I think it's almost certain we've discovered the identity of the ghosts from Ludlow's map. I've put a message up on the board with some more stuff I've found and some answers to some very pertinent questions... well done.

I'm really glad you liked the animation too, it's pretty cool isn't it? The were-beasts are the scariest for me - imagine those things jumping in whilst you're enjoying your dinner watching Eastenders!

Sadly, as you'll see in the following weeks, such beasts may not be as much a figment of imaginative minds as one would hope. Dare I say again how much I believe that there is far more out there then we know, and I just hope none of you ever come face-to-face with such evil. On that happy note, I'll take my leave. Until Monday then...
