Likely Lads

The Likely Lads

The adventures of Bob Ferris (Rodney Bewes) and Terry Collier (James Bolam).

Bob is the 'sensible' one, doing his best to get on with his job and 'better himself'.

Terry is the 'irresponsible' one, intent on living life to the full. He's forever getting himself (and Terry) into trouble of one kind or another. The 'lads' work together and spend their evenings boozing and doing their best to 'pull birds'.

Allegedly, the boys drank real beer on the show - in one episode Bewes estimated he got through 9 pints of bitter. Is that 'likely'?

One of the classic sitcoms of the 1960s, many of the recordings were 'lost' when the original master tapes were wiped at the end of the 1960s. Only 8 episodes of The Likely Lads are known to still exist.

Revived in 1973 as Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?
