Bob Marley

It was a breakthrough year for one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. In July, Marleys London Lyceum shows, recorded for the album "Live! Bob Marley and the Wailers" raised the profile of the devoted Rastafarian and paved the way for a reggae explosion in Britain.

In the autumn, reggae fever gripped London and all the Wailers UK tour dates sold out. "No Woman No Cry", recorded at the Lyceum, reached number 22 in the charts.
