It was a breakthrough year for one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. In July, Marley�s London Lyceum shows, recorded for the album "Live! Bob Marley and the Wailers" raised the profile of the devoted Rastafarian and paved the way for a reggae explosion in Britain.
In the autumn, reggae fever gripped London and all the Wailers� UK tour dates sold out. "No Woman No Cry", recorded at the Lyceum, reached number 22 in the charts.
