After the defeat of England by Argentina in the World Cup, young boys needed a way to moan about and celebrate their favourite and least favourite players.
Panini Football Stickers could be found in any playground in the UK and were the cause of many a lunchtime spat. Stickers could be exchanged and traded and the aim was to collect the whole lot which was bound to be impossible unless you had the richest (or most gullible) parents.
