A karaoke singer
VIDEO CLIP:
RealMedia: Karaoke hits the UK

Karaoke machines

The most effective form of torture ever devised by man, Karaoke emerged from the supper clubs of Tokyo to become a mainstay of British pub culture.

Soon there was no escape from drunk, tone-deaf slappers singing I Will Survive and I Just Called to Say I Love You.

Not only was Karaoke responsible for persuading people who couldn't sing that they weren't that bad really (they were), it also paved the way for talent shows like Stars in their Eyes.

Unforgiveable.
