The first love of any girl's life in 1983 was her My Little Pony.
Adverts evoked a magical world inhabited by pastel coloured horsies
with flowing polyester manes and doe eyes.
The herd all had cutsey names like Baby Cotton Candy, Snuzzel,
and Peachy, and boys hated them... until they realised God had created
the ultimate way to torment your sister - kidnap Snuzzel and hold
her to ransom (she was worth at least two packets of Monster Munch).
Some My Little Ponys are now collectors items and a roaring trade
is still going on over the internet.
