In 1994 everyone was going cross-eyed trying to see pictures hidden in a mosaic of coloured dots.
Everyone had a different recipe to make the images appear - staring at a point on the wall behind the picture, looking at it through glass, in a mirror, whatever.
But basically you could either see the picture or you couldn't, which left half the country convinced they had been the victims of a massive April Fools' joke.
