Crackers Don't Matter
Teleplay by Justin Monjo
Directed by Ian Watson
PLOT
Scorpius has posted news of a reward for the capture of Crichton and the crew are finding it difficult to trade safely for food. On the latest trading mission, they barely managed to get out with several tonnes of crackers before anyone suspected who they were.
Yet they did also manage to pick up a visitor, T'raltixx. He is a blind mechanic who promises to be able to render Moya undetectable. Crichton scoffs at this but is proved wrong when his own ship, Farscape 1, is briefly turned invisible.
Nobody trusts T'raltixx but they all think they can handle him. And so when he proposes taking Moya to his docks for fitting of this new technology, they think they can cope.
But along the way, T'raltixx leads them past a cluster of pulsars and cautions the crew that they may experience some disorientation.
He doesn't know the half of it. While in range of these pulsars, every disagreement and every schism between the crew members bleeds over into raging rows, violent conflict and ultimately gunfire.
Still, they were warned. And they won't be in range of the pulsars forever.
If, that is, the pulsars have anything to do with their problems at all.
