Elvis

Elvis in the UK

In 1960 Elvis had a No.1 hit in the UK with 'It's Now or Never' - which turned out to be quite appropriate in a Twilight Zone kind of way.

On 2nd March, Elvis visited the UK while his plane was refuelled in Scotland. Between then and his death the 'pelvis' never returned.

It might have been the chill of the glens, a hectic touring and army schedule, or maybe he just knew that they wouldn't be able to make a deep-fried peanut butter sandwich just how he liked them, that kept him away.

But he did return in spirit - starring in the 1967 movie "Double Trouble" as an American singer touring Europe and getting mixed up in a whole heapo of trouble with a London heiress.

So Elvis, thank you very much. Uh-huh-huh.
