Silly String

RealMedia: Silly String

Silly String

Another addition to the 'silly' family of putty, slime and billy, it has absolutely no use whatsoever and certainly possesses none of the properties of string.

First introduced in 1969 by Julius Samann, the only thing that is known about Silly String is that it is non-toxic, non-flammable, and free of CFCs. Apart from that, no one except the manufacturer knows the ingredients of this top-secret weapon.

Since its introduction, Silly String has popped up regularly on television and in films, most notably in the Tom Hanks movie 'Big'.

Certain cities have banned it, and people regularly get in trouble for using it in public places, but it's all good clean(ish) fun.
