Othello

Othello

Othello was invented by Japanese game enthusiast Goro Hasegawa in 1971. It was introduced to the rest of the world in 1976 but took off in 1977 with the first World Othello Championship.

It has a felt green board reminiscent of a casino and 32 counters for each player (black on one side, white on the other). The aim is to flip all the counters over to your colouror something along those lines!
