"Flippin' 'eck Tucker, He's a nut job!"
Set in a London comprehensive this school soap was adored by kids and detested by parents, who felt it encouraged all sorts of wild behaviour.
It
was created by Phil Redmond, who went on to make Brookside and Hollyoaks,
and made stars of Todd Carty, Susan Tully and Michelle Gayle - all
of whom later graduated to roles in EastEnders.
Through
the years it went on to tackle issues such as bullying and parenting
but probably most memorable was the nation-wide drugs campaign 'Just
Say No' focusing on Zammo McGuire's heroin addiction.
