Macaulay Culkin plays a resourceful tot battling inept burglars
when his parents accidentally go on holiday without him.
His character pigs out on junk food while devising ever more barbaric
ways to dispose of the bad guys, until Mum and Dad return.
Since it was made in America, not Britain, the film ends with a
tearful family reunion rather than Culkin being taken into care
and his parents locked up for child neglect.
Culkin went on to star in the nauseating kid pic My Girl - and
Home Alone 2 - before puberty mercifully ended his big screen career.
