Leonardo Di Caprio

Titanic

It's doubtful that even a claim such as having been on the moon for all of 1997 would be a good excuse for having let this one pass you by! The romantic epic based on the famous Titanic disaster of 1912 starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet and lasted an even more epic 3 hours!

Despite knowing the ending before even sitting down, the audience appreciation was huge. For those not personally captivated by Leo (whose teenage fans accounted for the many returning viewers!), the outstanding use of state-of-the-art digital effects, underwater filming and a ninety percent scale Titanic replica provided plenty to keep you entertained.

This multi-million dollar gamble, written and directed by James Cameron, paid off by making over a billion dollars back and winning a record 11 Oscars.
